listening style that systematically focuses on the fact and the logical consistency of a speaker’s message and withholds judgment until all information in presented

listening style that is associated with friendly, open communication and an interest in establishing ties with others

active-empathic listening (AEL)

skills that involve active engagement with the speaker and putting themselves emotionally in the speaker’s shoes, not only on understanding information but also “listening” to other’s feelings
