Efferent Pathway

Pathway that outgoing response signals travel along from the control center to the effectors

Effector

Specialized cell that receives the response signal and executes the response

Set Point

A value that an internal condition fluctuates around

Normal Range

Values around a set point than an interval physiological condition can be without a homeostatic response

Negative Feedback Loop

Homeostatic reflex arc where the effect opposes the original stimulus

Positive Feedback Loop
