Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA)
A statute governing the no-fault workplace safety and insurance system in Ontario.
No-fault system
A system that provides benefits to an injured employee regardless of how the injury was caused.
Collective employer liability
A principle that ensures certainty of payment for injured workers and removes the risk of litigation for employers.
Workers' compensation
A system that provides financial and medical benefits to employees injured on the job.
WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board)
The board responsible for managing the WSIA and providing workplace safety and insurance benefits.
Exclusions from coverage
