Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum
Observed in adrenal gland (H&E, 100x) as cells with a "foamy" appearance due to the presence of multiple fat droplets.
Golgi Apparatus
Seen in the epididymis using silver impregnation; presents as dark brown ball-like structures at the top of the cells.
Lysosome
Identified in kidney sections stained with Gomori's lead glycerophosphate as black spots or stains indicating the presence of acid phosphatase.
Fat Corpuscular (Inclusion)
Found in the mesentery (H&E, 40x) as large circular cells with a central white space and a displaced nucleus.
Melanin
Dark brown pigmentation localized at the base of the skin, observed using Hematoxylin-phloxine at 40x.
Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum
Observed in the spinal cord (Ehrlich's Hematoxylin) as dark lumps known as Nissl substance surrounding the nucleus.
Lipofuscin
Small reddish granules found inside epididymis tissue when stained with Hematoxylin-phloxine.
Kinocilia
Long cilia on the cell surface of the trachea, observed alongside goblet cells using Iron Hematoxylin.
Stereocilia
Long, thin extensions in the epididymis (H&E) that resemble the bristles of a brush at the cell border.
Striated Border (Chapa Estriada)
A dark and defined band located on the upper border of intestinal cells in the small intestine.
Myofibril
Muscle fibers in the tongue (Iron Hematoxylin) showing transverse striations with alternating dark and light disks.
Tonofilaments
Observed in skin (Heidenhain's Iron Hematoxylin) as cells joined by small "spines" or extensions, creating a prickly appearance.
Glycogen
Accumulations identified in polygonal hepatocytes of the liver using the Periodic Acid-Schiff (PAS) stain.
Mitochondria
Detected in renal tubules (H&E) by an intensely eosinophilic (pink) cytoplasm, indicating a high concentration of these organelles.
