Where the organelles are located and holds the parts of the cell.

Produces energy; known as the powerhouse of the cell.

Ribosomes

Make proteins and build proteins.

Endoplasmic Reticulum

Helps with transport and production, and moves materials.

Golgi Apparatus

Packages and ships materials; sends proteins.

Lysosomes

Breaks down waste and recycles old parts.

Cell Theory

The principle stating that all living things are made of one or more cells, the cell is the basic unit of structure and organization in organisms, and all cells come from preexisting cells.

Healing

The process that happens when your body is trying to put itself back together.

Structure

A part made up of other parts, characterized by the way it looks or the properties it has to do its job.

Function

The job of the part of the body.

Primary Function

The main job or what the part does.

Blood Plasma

The liquid part of your blood.

Platelets

Components that help the blood clot when a vessel has been broken open.

Single-celled Organism

An organism made up of only one cell, such as bacteria.

Multi-cellular Organism

An organism made up of many cells, such as a human.
