Happens when a person is a danger to themselves or others. Officers have to articulate what makes the person a danger to society. Must complete a FD-12 and incident report for mental observation. Person is held for 72 hour evaluation

A pedestrian who has stopped by a police officer after they have committed an infraction shall be required to inform the officer or other official of their true name and address for the purpose of including that information on a notice of infraction

Failure to exhibit permit

Any individual to whom a license or permit to operate a motor vehicle has been issued shall have the license or permit in his or her immediate possession at all times while operating a motor vehicle in the District of Columbia. Required to show the license or permit to any police officer when asked. (Does not apply when they don’t have their license on their person as long as they provide you with the information needed to complete a notice of infraction)
