Implicit Association Test (IAT)
A test that measures the strength of association between two concepts or categories.
Congruent Trials
Trials where the pairing of concepts aligns with the individual's mental representation.
Incongruent Trials
Trials where the pairing of concepts does not align with the individual's mental representation.
Strength of Association
Calculated as the difference between Incongruent and Congruent trial response times.
Personality Traits
Enduring dispositions in behavior that show individual differences across various situations.
Big 5 Personality Traits
Five broad domains used to describe human personality: Openness, Conscientiousness, Extroversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism.
Openness
A personality trait characterized by imagination, feelings, actions, and ideas.
Conscientiousness
A personality trait characterized by competence, self-discipline, thoughtfulness, and being goal-driven.
Extroversion
A personality trait characterized by sociability, assertiveness, and emotional expression.
Agreeableness
A personality trait characterized by cooperation, trustworthiness, and good-natured behavior.
Neuroticism
A personality trait characterized by a tendency towards unstable emotions and negative feelings.
Bias Awareness
The recognition of unconscious biases that can influence behavior and decision-making.
