Peace was established by God in creation
Peace as apart of God’s goal for creation. Peace was gods design
It is natural and good. God created the world ordered and at peace (genesis 1), however after the fall (genesis 3) peace was broken.
Jesus brought peace with God through forgiveness of sin
Jesus is seen as the “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6), fulfilling Old Testament prophecy.
Through Jesus, Christians can have a restored relationship with God, giving them hope, assurance, and acceptance.

Jesus’ Kingdom and reign is one of peace

Christian Pacifism
Some Christians follow pacifism based on Jesus’ example of non-violence.
They believe violence contradicts the Christian message of peace and love.
Groups like the Quakers actively reject war and conflict.
By choosing peace in all situations, pacifists honour Jesus and experience inner peace.
Just Peace
Just peace focuses on creating justice and fairness as a path to real peace.
Builds on the Just War theory but moves toward non-violence and reconciliation.
Peace requires right relationships, fair treatment, and mutual understanding.
Christians are called to act with justice and mercy, resolving conflict and restoring peace in society.
