Handball that directly turns over possession.
Clanger Kick (CKK)
Kick that directly turns over possession.
Clearance (CLR)
First effective disposal clearing the stoppage.
Contested Knock-On (CKO)
Hand knock to teammate in a contest.
Contested Mark (CMK)
Mark taken under physical pressure.
Contested Intercept Mark (CIM)
Contested mark from an opposition kick.
Contested Mark From Team (CMT)
Contested mark from a teammate's kick.
Contested Possession (CP)
Possession won when the ball is in dispute.
Crumb (CRB)
Groundball get at a marking contest not involved in the original contest.
Disposal (DIS)
Legal kick or handball.
Dispossessed (DSP)
Losing ball in a tackle without disposal.
Effective Handball (EHB)
Handball that hits intended target.
Effective Kick (EKK)
Kick that is advantageous and reaches a target/50–50.
50m Penalty (50M)
Penalty advancing mark/free by 50 metres.
First Possession (FP)
Initial possession from a stoppage.
Free Against (FAG)
Free kick conceded.
Free For (FFR)
Free kick awarded.
Gather (GTH)
Possession directed from a teammate (excluding marks).
Gather from Hit-Out (GHO)
Possession from teammate’s hit-out to advantage.
Goal (GOL)
Major score worth 6 points.
Goal Assist (GA)
Play directly leading to a goal.
Goal Conceded (GC)
Goal kicked by direct opponent.
Groundball Get (GBG)
Contested ground-level possession.
Ground Kick (GDK)
Kick off the ground gaining distance or finding teammate.
Handball (HB)
Disposal by hand.
Handball Receive (HBR)
Uncontested possession from a handball.
Hardball Get (HBG)
Disputed, pressured groundball win.
Hit-Out (HO)
Ruck tap with control.
Hit-Out Shark (HOS)
Winning possession from opponent’s hit-out.
Hit-Out Sharked (HSD)
Hit-out that results in opponent possession.
Hit-Out to Advantage (HTA)
Hit-out directed to teammate.
Hold (HLD)
Holding the ball in for a ball-up.
Ineffective Ground Kick (IGK)

Knock-On (KNO)
Hand tap to teammate in play chain.
Long Kick (LKG)
Kick >40m to 50/50 or better.
Looseball Get (LBG)
Disputed ball without direct pressure.
Mark (MRK)
Clean catch of kick >15m.
Mark from Opposition Kick (MOK)
Intercept mark from opponent’s kick.
Mark Fumbled (MFM)
Dropping a mark attempt before control.
Mark on Lead (MOL)
Uncontested mark from leading pattern.
Mark Play On (MPO)
Playing on immediately after mark.
Missed Tackle (MTK)
Failed tackle.
One-on-One Defender (1OD)
Defender isolated in a 1v1.
One-on-One Target (1OT)
Forward isolated in a 1v1 as kick target.
Possession (POS)
Gaining the ball with time to dispose.
Pressure Act (PRA)
Chasing pressure from behind that forces disposal.
Pressure Act – Corralling (PRC)
Occupying space to limit ball carrier movement.
Rebound 50 (R50)
Moving ball from defensive 50 to midfield.
Ruck Hardball Get (RHG)
Taking possession directly from the ruck.
Running Bounce (RNB)
Bounce/touch required when running far.
Score Assist (SA)
Creating a score (goal or behind).
Short Kick (SKK)
Kick <40m to intended target who retains possession.
Smother (SMO)
Blocking/changing a disposal.
Spoil (SPL)
Knocking ball away from marking contest.
Spoil Gaining Possession (SGP)
