Fat Cell

Brown Fat cells: Produce heat 

White Fat cells: Stores energy and heat.

Muscle Cell

Voluntary cells: They move when you choose to move them.

Involuntary cells: They move without you deciding to move the muscles.

Nerve Cell

Sends messages up from the spinal cord to the brain.

Blood Cell

Red blood cells: spreads oxygen from the lungs to the body

White blood cells: Helps fight off diseases and infections throughout the body.

Nucleus

The control centre of the cell. Contains the DNA.

Mitochondria

 The powerhouse of the cell

Vacoule

 Contains toxic waste, chemicals and water

Chloraplast

chloraplast is an organelle that is cruical for the process of photosyntheis. it contains chlorophyll which converts sugar into chemical energy

Cell Membrane

Holds all of the organelles in the cell and controls what comes in and out. (Found in both animal and plant cell)

Endoplasmic reticulum

 Gets rid of waste

Holds structure of the plant.

Unicellular Cells

• Have a tail 

• Are prokaryotic cells

• Don’t have a true nucleus 

• Bacteria cells

• A single cell

• Use mitosis= exact same cell reproduces.

Multicellular Cells

• Are eukaryotic cells

• Many cells

• Human cells

• Bound by a membrane

• One type of cell

• Have a nucleus 

DIFFERENCES:

Plant cells have all of the same organelles as an animal cell but have also a chloroplast, cell wall and a larger vacuole. 

GLUCOSE AND WATER TRANSPORTED:

Xylem: Moves water from the roots to the leaves and stem

Phloem: Move glucose made by photosynthesis to the rest of the plant.

PHOTOSYNTHESIS:

•  These are cells in the green part of the plant 

•   Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll in the leaves 

•    The chlorophyll traps energy from the sun for photosynthesis to happen

•    They carry out photosynthesis
