Course Learning Objectives
Five core goals: (1) use psychology vocabulary, (2) understand major areas/perspectives, (3) apply scientific methods, (4) grasp key principles, (5) apply concepts to everyday life.
Exit Tickets
In-class quick assessments used to gauge attendance and understanding; 11 are given, 2 points each, 5% of grade, with one dropped.
Connect Homework (Smartbook)
11 Connect Smartbook chapters with questions; based on completion; highest 10 scores count; one score dropped; contributes to a portion of the grade.
Measures of Mastery (Exams)
Four exams with 35 two-point MC questions each; top three scores count toward the grade (one dropped), totaling 210 points.
Final Measure of Mastery (Final MM)
Final 100-item MC exam worth 1 point each; assesses comprehensive Intro Psych content; scheduling and rescheduling guidelines apply.
Attendance/Overall Grade Policy
Attendance tied to exit tickets and overall participation; consistent presence is encouraged and contributes to the grade.
Final Course Grade Scale

Dropped Score Policy
Selected scores (e.g., one Exit Ticket, one SBHW, one MM) can be dropped to protect the grade from unforeseen events; extensions are rare.
