What is evaporation?
The process where liquid water changes into water vapor (a gas).
What is condensation?
The process where water vapor (a gas) changes into liquid water.
Any form of water that falls from the sky, like rain, snow, sleet
What is the order of operations?
PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction). Perform operations in this order.
What is a variable?
A symbol (usually a letter) that represents a number in an equation or expression.
What is an expression?
A combination of numbers, variables, and operations (like +, -, \, /) without an equals sign.
What is an equation?
A mathematical statement that shows two expressions are equal, using an equals sign (=).
How do you find the area of a rectangle?
Area = length x width
How do you find the volume of a rectangular prism?
Volume = length x width x height
What is a percentage?
A percentage is a way of expressing a number as a fraction of 100. It means 'out of 100' and is usually denoted by the percent sign (%).
How do you convert a percentage to a decimal?
To convert a percentage to a decimal, divide the percentage by 100. For example, 50\% = 50/100 = 0.5.
How do you calculate the percentage of a number?
To find a percentage of a number, multiply the number by the percentage expressed as a decimal.
What is an integer?
A whole number (not a fraction) that can be positive, negative, or zero.
How do you add integers?
Use the number line to count from zero up or down.
How do you subtract integers?
Subtract one integer from the other. If the larger value is negative, the answer is negative.
How do you multiply integers?
If the signs are the same, the answer is positive. If the signs are different, the answer is negative.
