Helped overthrow the Qing Dynasty, often called "Father of the Nation"

Porfirio Diaz (1830-1915)

Mexican General/Dictator, president for 31 years (Called Porfiriato)

Francisco Madero (1873-1913)

Helped Overthrow Porfirio Diaz by starting Mexican Revolution

Emiliano Zapata (1879-1919)

Revolutionary and leader of peasants in the Mexican Revolution. He mobilized landless peasants in south-central Mexico in an attempt to seize and divide the lands of the wealthy landowners. Though successful for a time, he was ultimately defeated and assassinated.
