Incudostapedial joint

The articulation of the incus and the stapes. It is a ball-and-socket joint.

Membranous cover of the round window of the cochlea.

Mastoiditis

Inflammation of the mastoid bone. Infection happens when mastoid air cells enter the eustachia/auditory tube, migrate to the middle ear, and enter the aditus ad antrum, and subsequently the air cells of the mastoid.
