community consensus

psuedoscience
a belief or practice not based on good scientific methods; may be based on faulty logic or claims that can't be tested; "false science"

Branchlike parts of a neuron that receive information from other cells

Mrs. Gainey's term for thinking about how new information relates to things we already know; Example: when someone said a neuron looked like a tree, they helped themselves remember what a neuron looks like

The thin, wire-like part of a neuron that passes messages to other cells

the idea that we have a set amount of ability that we cannot change
