Ellis Island
An immigration station located in New York Harbor, New York, through which approximately 12 million immigrants entered the United States.

Naturalization Requirements
Criteria required to become a naturalized citizen, including being 18 years old, holding a green card for 5 years, being able to speak, read, and write basic English, and showing support for the law.
Loss of Citizenship
The loss of one's citizenship status, which can occur mainly from fraud or material misrepresentation.
Dred Scott
An enslaved African American man who sued for his freedom, but the Supreme Court ruled against him, declaring that Black people who were enslaved or free were not citizens, which sparked widespread outrage.

Voluntary actions that citizens should do to be a good citizen, such as voting and staying informed.
King Henry VIII's Wives and Fates
