AB design
baseline data collected during the A phase, and intervention implemented in the B phase
ABAB (reversal) design
sequential application and withdrawal of intervention of following initial baseline. Baseline, intervention, baseline again, intervention again. temporarily removing the intervention in order to evaluate its effects on students' behavior
multiple baseline design
provides a way to evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention when a reversal (ABAB) design is not desirable because of the limitations noted previously - allows us to analyze the effects of intervention on three variables
changing criterion design
used to evaluate a slow and orderly increase or decrease in performance levels by changing the criterion for students to receive interventions in a stepwise fashion
changing conditions design
successive change in conditions for performance of behavior to evaluate comparative effects of intervention
alternating treatments design
allows us to determine the differential effectiveness of more than one intervention for a target behavior, different interventions are randomly alternated from session to session
