Classicism
Describes the music and art of the 18th Century
Age of Reason and Enlightenment
It was called “blank” because of philosophers Kant and Rosseau.
Emphasis on form
General characteristic of the classical period. It is characterized with balance, order, and simple compositions.
Sonata
A three movement-composition

Sonata Allegro
The first movement of every sonata follows the “blank” form. It has three parts:
(1) exposition (2) Development (3) recapitulation

In Sonata-Allegro form, the first section is the “blank”
Development
The middle section of a sonata-allegro form in which the principal themes are expanded and explored trough techniques such as modulation is the “blank”
Recapitulation
The third section of the Sonata-Allegro form in which the exposition is repeated the tonic key is the “Blank”
Coda
Closes the work by affirming the tonic key

•Born in December 17, 1770
•Considered as the greatest western composer of all time
•In 1796 his sense of hearing started to fail and was almost deaf in his 9th symphony
•1818 when he was completely deaf

•Marked the beginning of his creative middle-period
•He renamed it to “Eroica Symphony” in 1804

Modern Dance
Can be performed individually or in groups and is often seen on stage in theatrical productions

Waltz
The most commonly thought of dance when someone mentions ballroom dancing.
Tango
Ballroom tango is different when compared with Argentine tango.

Will help you acquaint and mingme with other people abd build connections in the community trough dance.
Grand March Dance Mixers
Performed with moving/traveling dancers. Leaders are lined up on one side of the dance floor, and followers are on the opposite side.
Passing Mixers
Performed with any kind of partner dance. Everybody steps onto the dance floor with a partner.
Snowball Mixers
Performed with spot dances. Begins with one or two pairs on the dance floor.
Change Partners
The pairs split up and take a partner from those not currently on the dance floor.
