Barriers to Learning

Spastic Cerebral Palsy

Hard of Hearing

Refers to individuals who have a hearing loss that makes it difficult, but not impossible, to understand speech through the ear alone, with or without hearing aids.

National Strategy on Screening, Identification, Assessment and Support protocol implemented across different system levels in South Africa.

Learner Profile (LP)

The document filled out in Stage 1 of SIAS by the teacher to screen all children at admission and at the start of each phase.

SNA1

Support Needs Assessment form 1, completed in Stage 2 of SIAS by the teacher and parent/caregiver to identify areas of concern, inventory strengths/needs, and formulate an individual support plan.

SNA2

Support Needs Assessment form 2, which guides the School-based Support Team (SBST) in reviewing teacher interventions and strengthening school-level support plans.

SNA3
