(divided into 4 more: tan yin phlegm fluid=rheum)

ABD fullness and distension, *vomiting of watery fluids,* a dry tongue & mouth w/out a desire to drink, *a splashing sound in the ST,* a feeling of fullness of the chest, loose stools, loss of weight a deep slippery or wiry pulse and a swollen tongue w/ a sticky coating
*key sx: gurgling sound*
Suspended fluids
(hypochondrium)
= suspended rheum
*hypochoondrial px that is worse on coughing and breathing,* a feeling of distension of the hypochondriac, SOB, a swollen tongue w/ a sticky coating and a deep-wiry pulse
*key sx: cough, ribcage px*
Flooding fluids
(limbs)
=spillage rheum
feeling of heaviness of the body, *px in the muscles*, absence of sweating, lack of desire to drink, a cough w/ abundant white sputum, a swollen tongue w/ a sticky white coating and a wiry pulse
*key sx: pain, deep heaviness, puffy swelling*
Propping fluids
(above diaphragm)
=propping rheum
cough, *asthma, edema,* a feeling of oppression of the chest, *dizziness*, abundant white sputum, a swollen tongue w/ a sticky, thick, white coating and a wiry pulse. all the sx *are aggravated by exposure to cold*
*key sx: cough, panting, inability to lie flat* (only one affected by temp)
