Traditionally, women would care for the baby and the man would be the ‘breadwinner’ for the household. Times have changed now and usually both parents will have to work however women are still working less than men.

How does types of employment cause wealth inequality?

Some corporations such as Uber use types of employment such as the ‘gig economy’ to exploit their workers out of a fair wage. The structure of the gig economy means legally you are your own employer meaning you miss out on many benefits such as minimum wage, holiday and sick pay.

Public services such as the NHS and other emergency services operate under tight government budgets as all these services need to break evens with taxpayer money. This means all measures such as lower salaries are put in place in order to keep the essential services running.
