Cumulative Survival
The overall proportion of individuals surviving over a specified period of time.
Life Table
A tabular representation of the mortality experience of a population, showing the number of individuals alive at the beginning of each time interval.
5-Year Survival Rate
The percentage of patients who are alive five years after diagnosis or treatment.
Median Survival Time
The time at which 50% of a population is expected to have survived.
Survival Curve
A graphical representation of the proportion of a population surviving over time.
Probability of Survival
The likelihood of an individual surviving to the end of a given time period.
Kaplan-Meier Method
A statistical method for estimating the survival function from lifetime data.
Follow-Up
The opportunity to monitor the health outcomes of individuals after treatment or intervention.
Cumulative Incidence
The proportion of a population that experiences an event (e.g. death) within a specified period.
