We have been friends for 3 years, she is funny and smart and has never been in trouble, I see a lot of her in school and the Sunset Diner (where we often went over the summer)

Was I surprised that Ali was arrested and charged?

I don’t understand why Ali acted as she did and don’t exactly think she was in the right, but do sympathise with her.

what happened 1

I went shopping with my sister, who wanted to look at CDs in HMV. There was a good sale on new releases in the store so I decided to buy a movie and few CDs.

By 3:15 I was ready to go but my sister wanted to keep shopping, do I hung around the CD section waiting for her, bored.

Someone (who I knew but couldn’t remember their name) came up behind me and tapped my shoulder, saying “Hey Jayme - Ty”. I said hello back then remembered meeting him a few times when hanging out with my sister’s boyfriend’s friends.

Ty looked back at your shopping bag and suggested I go back to his house and and watch the movie I bought, but I didn’t know this guy too well do I decided to go to my place.

While walking down Dufferin, I met up with one of my good friends (Ali) who had just finished work. She agreed to come watch the movie too.

I went into Lawrence West Station, taking the movie out of the bag to read about the extras/features when on the platform. Ty took the bag to look at what I had bought. Ali spotted someone she knew and headed down the platform to them.

A few moments later I heard yelling, following Ali and Ty (who were down towards the middle of the platform)

I couldn’t really hear what was going on. Ty and Ali seemed to be pushing someone against the wall, but I didn’t know what to do. Ty was yelling something like “give me your money!” and Ali was saying something too, but I couldn’t really hear.

I couldn’t really hear what was going on and wasn’t really thinking, but I ran up to them because Ty had my CDs. I caught up to him on the stairs and left the station at the same time but he just took off. I was calling out to him and tried to catch up but couldn't.

I didn’t see where Ali went. I called my sister for her to pick me up.

When I got home I looked for Ty’s number/email to get my CDs back but couldn’t find it. My sister’s boyfriend said he hardly knew him and didn’t know how to get in contact with him.

Later that day I was contacted by the police and interviewed about what happened on the platform.
