Humerus
The superior arm bone that connects the elbow to shoulder.
Femur
The largest/longest single bone. The superior leg bone that connects the hip to the knee.
Sacrum
The second to last bone in the spinal vertebrae column. 5 fused.
Coccyx
The final bone in the spinal vertebrae column. 4 fused.
Thoracic Vertibrae
The middle group in the spinal column. 12 bones.
Lumbar Vertibrae
The lowest group in the spinal column. 5 bones.
Cervical Vertibrae
The highest group in the spinal column. 7 bones.
Clavical
Located on the anterior side of body, connecting to the scapula and sternum
Scapula
Located on the posterior of the body, connecting to the ribs and humerus
Sesamoid bone
Bone connected to only tendons. (ex. ear bones, patella)
Ligaments
Connective tissue that connect bone to bone
Tendon
Connective tissue that connect bone to muscle
Flat bone
Two layers of compact bone covering a thin layer of spongy bone. (ex. Skull, sternum and ribs)
Short bone
Very strong but have less movement, nearly equal in length and width. (ex. carpals and tarsals). Mostly spongy bone with an outer of compact bone.
Long bone
Irregular bone
Mainly provide protection and support. (ex: Pelvic Girdle and vertebrae)
