Context
Refers to the situation or setting in which communication happens
Purpose
Refers to the reason why someone is communicating
Communication
The process of sending and receiving messages to share information, ideas, thoughts, or feelings.
Sender
The person who creates and sends the message
Encoding
The process of turning ideas into words, symbols, gestures
Message
The information or idea being communicated
Channel
The medium used to send the message (e.g., speaking, writing, texting, email)
Receiver
The person who receives the message
Decoding
The process of interpreting and understanding the message
Feedback
The receiver's response, showing whether the message was understood
Noise
Anything that interferes with or distorts communication (e.g., loud sounds, poor internet, language barriers, distractions)
