Cheetah
A personnel grouping that defaults to 0 TE’s.
Zebra
A personnel grouping that defaults to 2 TE’s.
Rhino
A personnel grouping that defaults to 3+ TE’s.
Quads
A formation grouping consisting of 3 RB’s and the QB.
Base
A 2 RB (20’s personnel) formation where the QB is Auto Under Center by default.
Ponies
A 2 RB (20’s personnel) formation that defaults to Auto Pistol.
I (Formation)
A 2 RB formation where the QB is always under center.
Inside Zones
The attack zones designated as 3, 4, and 0.
Off-Tackle Zones
The attack zones designated as 2 and 5.
Outside Zones
The attack zones designated as 1 and 9.
Denver
A run concept (Dive) attacking zones 3, 0, or 4 using DUO double team blocks on interior DL.
Louisville
A run concept (Lead) attacking off-tackle zones 2 or 5 using down blocks and a backside guard pull and wheel.
Texas
A run concept (Toss) where the ball carrier takes a 45 degree drop step and explodes to the outside while the QB uses reverse pivot footwork.
Tampa
An inside trap run concept where the ball carrier is always the 3 back attacking zones 3, 0, or 4.
Quincy
A QB Outside Zone run concept where the QB uses a 'giddeup' in Pistol then attacks the play call zone.
Waco
An outside wham run concept where all linemen perform down blocks and the 3 back pulls to kick out the play call side DE.
Oregon
An outside zone run concept always executed from under center where the QB sprints to handoff to the 2 back.
Carolina
A GT Counter run concept where the backside guard pulls to kick out the DE and the backside tackle performs a wheel pull.
Richmond
A reverse run concept involving reach blocks where the QB performs OHIO action away from the play call and flips underneath.
Ohio
An option run concept where the play call side DE or OLB is left unblocked and the QB attacks the edge.
Seattle
A jet sweep run concept where the ball carrier is always on jet motion and the QB fakes a Denver handoff to the 2 back.
Broncos
An inside RPO concept based on Denver (DUO) line blocking.
Raiders
An off-tackle RPO concept based on Louisville line blocking.
Ravens
A GT Counter RPO concept based on Carolina line blocking.
Rams (Reno)
A QB boot concept from under center where the QB fakes the play call and boots in the opposite direction.
Eagles
An RPO concept using Empty formation with Hornet motion.
Falcons
A passing concept (Flood) where the outside receiver runs a corner or post corner and the second receiver runs a 7-yard out.
Bucs
A passing concept (Sail) where the outside receiver runs a go route and the second receiver runs a 7-yard out.
Patriots
A screen passing concept involving a slip screen to the 2 back and a slow screen to the 3 back or motion receiver.
Packers
A passing concept featuring a Mesh from the backfield where the back tagged in the call is the primary target.
Bengals
A receiver Mesh passing concept where tagged receivers perform crossing routes (e.g., Z under and X over).
Lions
A Z Leak passing concept where the Z receiver leaks behind the LOS to the opposite flat while Y and F run scissors routes.
Chiefs
A Stick / Wheel passing concept where a receiver (Tear or Jet motion) runs a wheel route.
Saints
A slant / quick screen passing concept using a '0 PINCH' pass protection.
Steelers
A playaction deep shot play executed from under center.
Commanders
A power play action passing concept featuring a 7-yard out and a flat route.
Over
An alignment call used to move a position to the opposite side of the formation.
Ranger (or Greely)
A call identifying that a pre-snap shift occurs.
