Crane

A machine that uses wire rope or chain which runs over sheaves to raise and lower loads, as well as move them horizontally.

Boom

A fixed or hydraulic arm that attaches to a crane's superstructure and extends upward at an angle.

Jib

A structure used to extend the length of a boom.

Outriggers

Crane supports that extend from the side of the crane's chassis.

Anti-two-block device

A limit switch mounted at the boom tip that will stop the up function or the boom extend function on a crane automatically.
