entry level practitioner- hold to state licensure standard and do professional activities
intermediate- increased responsiblibity, pursues specialization in particular area of practice
advanced level practitioner- considered an expert or resource in the respective role
what are the levels of supervision
direct- for students and aides, when the supervising therapist is observing at ALL times
close supervision- direct observation and contact daily at the work site on a regular basis
Routine supervision- at least every 2 wks, have face to face contact
General supervision- face to face once a month, telecomunicate as needed
why may someone need more frequent supervision
oNeeds of client and OT process are complex and fluctuating
oLarge number of clients with diverse needs are served by OT in practice setting
oMore supervision determined by OT and OTA for safety and effectiveness
