What does Wien's displacement law state?
the wavelength at which the maximum amount of radiation is emitted multiplied by the temperature of a blackbody is always a constant. If the temperature doubles, the 'peak' wavelength will be half the previous length.

It was more comprehensive because it fit all the experimental data not just the data from small wavelengths. Also, it was based on the second law of thermodynamics
