Motion
It is a continuos change in position. We consider this to move specifically on a straight line, and we don’t consider the external forces that can cause motion to occur.
Position
It is a unit that describes where an object lies when compared to a specific reference point (e.g. the origin).
Displacement
It is a vector quantity that refers to an objects’ change in position.
Average Velocity
It is a vector quantity that refers to the ratio of displacement, to the time interval in which the displacement occured.
Average Speed
It is the ratio of the total distance covered to the time interval in whcih the distance was covered.
Instantaneous Velocity
It is the velocity at a given instant of time.
Acceleration
It is the change in velocity of a particle with respect to time.
Instantaneous Acceleration
It is the acceleration of an object in an specific instance.
Free-fall
It refers to the ideal motion of an object falling without any air resistance and accelaration is constant to the earth’s graviation pull (-9.8m/s²).
Projectile Motion
It is a type of motion refers to an object that is moving vertically and horizontally.
Projectile
It is an object thrown with an initial velocity and whose motion is influenced by the pull of gravity.
Trajectory
It is the curve path taken by a projectile.
