What is the Dahl effect and how is it used in erosion cases?

Dahl effect - where a localised appliance or restoration is used to increase the interocclusal space for restorations.

This can be used when there is no space interocclusally for a restoration so delicately placer a high restoration or removable Dahl appliance.
