Verb
A word that expresses an action, an occurrence, or a state of being in a sentence
Noun
Is a person, place, thing, or idea
Proper noun
Specific to one person, place, thing, or idea. Its always capitalized, so its like a name
Pronoun
A word that takes the place of a noun in a sentence.
Adjective
Modifies or describes a noun. It makes a noun more specific.
Adverb
Modifies or further describes a verb, an adjective, on another adverb.
Preposition
Shows a relationship (often physical, spacial, or concerning time) between two nouns or pronouns in a sentence.
Conjunction
A word that is used to join words, phrases, or clauses. (FANBOYS)
Interjection
A single word to express emotion, Usually separated by a comma or an exclamation point.
Article
A word that identifies or specifies a noun. It precedes the noun in a sentence.
Examples of pronouns
It, I, you, he, she, them, who, what, everyone
Examples of verbs
sing, dance, believe, think, want TO BE VERBS: is, was, were, are HELPING/MODAL VERBS: will, shall, could, would, must, may, might

red, smelly, disturbing, kind, simple, his
