rejecting something because the person saying it does not follow it themselves, hypocrisy.

Argument from authority

Saying that since someone if famous or well known, what they are saying must be right.

Middle Ground

a compromise is right because it is beetween two points.

Appeal to fear

using panic and fear to describe an alternative rather than actual evidence

Personal Attack

attacking the person instead of the actual argument

False Dilemma

An argument that only give two choices, often when one is unreasonable.

Scapegoating

a person or group is unfairly blamed to divert attention.

Moving the goalpoasts

changing the rules or demands of a task after it has already begun, making it impossible to complete.

Anecdotal Fallacy

someone uses a personal point or story or isolated data to support there argument instead of using actual arguments.
