membrane covered channels that transport materials made in cell

Cytoplasm

jelly-like substance that hold all things in a cell

Vacuole

Contains water and other materials used to store or transport smaller molecules

Golgi Body

sort and package protein and other molecules for transport outside the cell

Cell Membrane

separates cell from external environment

Vesicles

membrane covered sacks that transport materials inside the cell

Nuclear Membrane

controls movement of materials into and outside the nucleus

• also protects DNA

Nucleolus

small organelle inside the nucleus

• produces dna

Chromatin

tangled mass of DNA

• contains genetic information

Lysosomes

breaks down food or harmful material for reuse

Cell Wall

Thicker covering around the cell membrance

Chloroplasts

transfer energy from sunlight into stored energy in carbohydrates

• uses photosynthesis
