Litigation
Approaching a Court of Law to resolve a conflict or disagreement.
Arbitration
A consensual agreement where an arbitrator with expert knowledge is chosen to resolve disputes; commonly incorporated into the JBCC.
Mediation
A consensual agreement where a neutral third party assists the parties in resolving a dispute without a judgment or ruling.
Adjudication
A recent innovation supported by the JBCC, where an expert adjudicator uses their expertise to determine the dispute within a specific timeframe.

A disagreement encompassing issues between the contractor and employer, their agents, or between a contractor and a sub-contractor.
