Appeasement
A policy of making concessions to an aggressor in order to avoid war.
Belligerent
A nation or person engaged in war or conflict, as recognized by international law.
Blitzkrieg
A military tactic based on surprise and the concentration of firepower which uses a rapid, coordinated attack by air and land forces.
Cash-and-Carry
A policy adopted by the United States in 1939 to allow warring nations to purchase goods, including arms, from the U.S. as long as they paid in cash and transported the goods themselves.
