Nominal
Categories with no order or ranking (e.g., eye color, gender, blood type)
Ordinal
Categories that have a meaningful order or ranking, but the differences between ranks are not necessarily equal (e.g., satisfaction level, class rank)
Interval
Numerical values with equal intervals between values, but no true zero (e.g., temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit)
Ratio
Numerical values with equal intervals and a true zero, allowing meaningful ratios (e.g., height, weight, age)
NOIR
The order of the four levels of measurement: Nominal, Ordinal, Interval, Ratio
