Children's Institution
A place where children under 12 of age received for day/night care and given tutorship.
Day Care Center
A school taking care of children 3-5 years old when their parents/guardians are out.
Egress
An arrangement of facilities to assure a safe mean of exit from the building.
Foreign School
One that is duly established to operate certain education program which are primarily and principally adhering to either universally accepted and recognized educational policies and standards or the unique prescribed system of a particular country other than the Philippines.

Non Formal Education
Refers to any organized school based educational activity undertaken by DepEd/CHED aimed at attaining specific learning objective for those who cannot avail a formal education.
Nursery School
A school for children 3-4 years old.

Include tissues, organs, or body parts from surgical operations, biopsy and autopsy, remains, aborted fetuses and animal carcasses, and blood and body fluid.

Pre-school Service
Any service which during all or part of the day regularly gives care to children who are below 5 years old, whether ore not the care is given for compensation, and whether the service is known as child minding. center, child care center, day nursery, day care center, nursery school, kindergarten, play school or by any other name.

A privately owned and managed institution for teaching and learning authorized by DepEd.
Pupil
A child who attends classes in any grade of the elementary educational level, including pre-school.
Sectarian School
A school run or managed by a particular religious organization.

School for people suffering from restriction or lack of ability to perform an activity normal for a human being.

A school which utilized cadavers, plants, or animals.
Students
Any person who is enrolled and engaged in formal education and attends classes at the secondary/higher level.
Technical/Vocational School
Any school undertaking a non-degree program at the post-secondary education in preparation for a particular occupation.
Theological School
A school established to undertake educational activities for priesthood or religious ministry.
Trade School
A school which incorporates technical/vocational activities and other related activities into their curicula.
