King Ezana of Aksum
The first king of Aksum/Ethiopia to embrace Christianity and bring Christianity to Africa. He also helped Ethiopia prosper

The king who made Kongo roman catholic, which allowed it to have stronger ties to portugal. Kongo would tried gold, salt, and ivory to Portugal which expanded the Kongdom’s wealth
Queen Mother Idia of Benin
The first queen mother of the kingdom of benin (nigeria now) who lead armies into battle and serves as an advisor to her son, who was the king. She became a symbol of the black african diaspora and a ivory mask of her face was the symbol of the second festival for black arts and culture
Queen Njinga of Ndongo
The female ruler of Ndongo-Matamba (present day angola) who engaged in guerilla warfare for 30 years in order to keep her country from being taken over by the Portuguese and her rule would solidify the next 200 years of female rulers in Matamba.
