Proclamation Line
A line established in 1763 that colonists were not allowed to cross.
Townsend Acts
Acts passed by the British Parliament that imposed duties on various goods imported into the colonies.

Reorganized Canadian provinces and allowed Catholics to practice freely, angering American Protestants.
