Main Idea of Creation
God created everything in six days and rested on the seventh day, teaching that God is the Creator, His creation is good, and human beings have a special responsibility to care for it.
Adam
The human created by God from the dust of the ground and given life when God breathed into him, who was placed in the Garden of Eden.
Garden of Eden
A beautiful garden filled with plants and trees where God placed Adam and Eve.
Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil
The tree in the garden from which God commanded Adam not to eat, warning that eating its fruit would result in death.
Eve
The companion created by God from Adam's rib after God saw that Adam was alone.
Serpent
The creature that approached Eve, questioned God's command, and convinced her that eating the forbidden fruit would make her like God, knowing good and evil.
Forbidden Fruit
The fruit eaten by Eve and Adam that opened their eyes, made them realize they were naked, and led to feeling ashamed and covering themselves.
God's Confrontation
The moment when God asked Adam and Eve what they had done after they hid out of fear, leading Adam to blame Eve and Eve to blame the serpent.
Tree of Life
The tree in the Garden of Eden from which Adam and Eve could no longer eat after being expelled by God.
Expulsion
The punishment wherein God sent Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden because they disobeyed Him.
Main Lesson of Adam and Eve
The story teaches about obedience, temptation, sin, free will, and consequences, showing that humans can make wrong choices but remain accountable for those choices.
Easy Sequence to Memorize
Adam -> Garden -> God's command -> Eve -> Serpent -> Forbidden fruit -> Disobedience -> Consequences -> Expulsion.
