Cells

Tissues

Composed of similar cells that perform a common function(s).

Epithelial tissue

The type of tissue that covers or lines.

Nervous tissue

One of the 4 types of tissues found in the body.

Muscle tissue

One of the 4 types of tissues found in the body.

Connective tissue

A tissue category that includes bone, blood, adipose, cartilage, and others.

Organs

Structures composed of tissues that together perform a common function(s), such as the stomach, heart, or liver.

Brain and liver

The organs that utilize the most energy when the body is resting.

Organ-Systems

Groups of organs that together perform a common function(s).

Pancreas

An example of an organ that is a member of more than one organ-system.

Integumentary system

Digestive system
