Primary Care
An approach to healthcare that encompasses a range of services designed to keep people well, serving as the first level of contact that is easily accessible and focused on improving community and individual health and well-being.
Secondary and Tertiary Care
Specialized healthcare services, typically provided in hospitals, that go beyond basic primary care, including advanced treatments and complex interventions.
Medical Card (Ireland)
A means-tested card in Ireland that provides holders with free GP care (including out-of-hours), free primary care services, and free medications (with a small prescription charge).
GP Visit Card (Ireland)
