Mole
A counting unit in chemistry representing 6.022 x 10^23 particles.
Avogadro's number
The number of particles in one mole of a substance, equal to 6.022 x 10^23.
Molar mass
The mass of one mole of particles, measured in grams per mole.
Atomic mass
The mass of an individual atom, found on the periodic table.
Atomic mass unit
The unit used to measure the mass of atoms; also known as atomic weight.
Periodic table
A tabular arrangement of elements based on their atomic number, electron configurations, and recurring chemical properties.
Grams per mole
The unit of measurement for molar mass, indicating grams of substance per one mole.
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
A compound made of one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms, with a molar mass of 44.009 grams per mole.
Mass of Silver
The molar mass of silver, approximately 111.868 grams per mole.
Mass of Silver Chloride
The combined molar mass of silver and chlorine, which is greater than the molar mass of silver alone.
