What is the name of the project in Lesotho

It is the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. It is the second largest water project in the world. It attempts to provide Lesotho with a reliable water supply and transfer any surplus(with a fee) to South Africa.

What is the climate in Lesotho

The temperature is highest from December to February and is lowest in the middle of the year at -5ºC. Rainfall peaks at 150mm in one month and dips to 20mm at the same times as temperatures

What will the project do once completed

It will divert around 40% of water from nearby rivers into dams so that they can be used in agriculture

What is the geography of Lesotho

It is mountainous and high up bordered on all sides by South Africa.

Why do some people opposed to the project

Their farms and residences have been flooded by the dams and it isn’t helping everyone alot. It could make South Africa overpowering over Lesotho
