African Boundaries in the 19th Century
National boundaries in Africa at the end of the 19th century were unnaturally imposed by colonizers with no regard for ethnic groups.

The management method where foreign officials are brought in to rule and the native groups don't have any self- rule is Direct Rule (Control).
Non-European imperial power
America and Japan were non-European imperial powers that colonized land outside of Africa.
Independent Regions in Africa
Liberia and Ethiopia were two regions that remained independent in Africa during the Age of Imperialism
