Hyaline Cartilage
Formed mostly of chondroitn sulfate. Surrounded by a perichondrium, dense irregular connective tissue that is vascular. The cartilage itself is avascular and nutrients from the perichondrium supply chondroblastw with nutrients for mitosis and secretion of the matrix
After matrix is secreted they become non dividing chondrocytes containing lacunae

Elastic cartilage
Gives the tissue elasticity and allow the tissue to recoil in response to strectching and stress.
Found in the pinna of the ear and the epiglottis

Fibrocartilage
Collagen fibers arranged in bundles. This allows it be stronger and more rigid than other cartilages. It helps in shock absorption and resisting conpressive forces.
Found in between intervertebral disks, pubis symphysis and the knee joint.
