Schizophrenia
A disorder that affects thought, perception, speech, motor behavior/and emotional experiences.
Delusions
Beliefs that aren't based on reality.
Hallucinations
Perceptions not based in reality, such as seeing or hearing voices.
Disorganized thinking
A difficulty in organizing thoughts in a logical and coherent manner.
Disorganized speech
Speech that is difficult to understand or follow due to problems with how thoughts are organized and expressed.
Positive symptoms
A symptom one has that people don't typically have.
Negative symptoms

Catatonia
Disorganized motor movement.
Depressive disorder
Presence of sad, empty, or irritable mood, with changes in thinking that impair one's ability to function.
Persistent depressive disorder
Also known as dysthymia, is a chronic, long-term depressive disorder. This is similar to MDD but stretches for longer periods.
Bipolar Disorder
A mental illness characterized by extreme mood swings, ranging from periods of intense highs (mania/hypomania) to periods of deep lows (depression).

Social Anxiety
People have a fear of social situations and typically don't engage to avoid anxious feelings.
Taijin Kyofusho
Cultural-bound disorder experienced mainly by Japanese people, where people are afraid that others are judging their bodies as displeasing.
