Autism Spectrum Disorder

persistent deficits in social communication/interaction and restricted, repetitive behaviors, with onset in early development

intellectual developmental disorder

deficits in intellectual (e.g., reasoning, learning) and adaptive functioning (e.g., communication, independence) with onset during development

specific learning disorder

difficulties in academic skills (e.g., reading, math) substantially below age expectations, persisting for 6+ months despite interventions

tic disorders

sudden, recurrent motor/vocal tics (e.g., Tourettes requires both motor and vocal tics for >1 years)

IQ is central : IDD (intellectual developmental disorder)

low id is expected and part of diagnosis criteria

IQ central : ASD (autism spectrum disorder)

IQ may be considered if comorbid with IDD; social defects should be below developmental level

IQ is not central but may be assessed : Specific Learning disorder
