  • long, fusiform muscle that arises from the supraglenoid tubercle of the scapula and runs through the intertubercular groove of humerus and inserts on the medial tuberosity of the proximal end of radius and on the adjacent part of ulna.

  • Origin: supraglenoid tubercle

  • Insertion: ulnar and radial tuberosities

  • Action: to flex the shoulder joint

  • Innervation: Musculocutaneus nerve
